Keir Starmer has announced a social media ban for under-16s, blocking children from apps like TikTok and Snapchat as part of a major online crackdown. The ban is due to start early next year and will be enforced using facial age checks and digital ID systems. Starmer also suggested tighter curbs could be coming for older teenagers, including possible overnight curfews to stop endless late-night scrolling.
