Morning Devotional for Adults | Saturday, June 20, 2026 =================== The Supreme Call to Action in the Hour of Crisis “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” — Esther 4:14 The fourth chapter of Esther places us at the epicenter of national anguish. Upon learning of the decree of extermination, Mordecai and the remnant people expressed their profound grief through fasting, sackcloth, and weeping. The direct confrontation between Mordecai and Queen Esther, through the messenger Hatach, laid bare an inescapable reality: the privileges of the palace did not exempt the sovereign from the common danger. Faced with Esther's initial reluctance, fearing the law that punished with death anyone who appeared before the monarch unsummoned, Mordecai delivered one of the most solemn admonitions in the Holy Scriptures, reminding her that her royal position carried a sacred responsibility. Moved and resolute, the queen accepted the challenge, calling for a collective fast and uttering the immortal declaration of surrender: "And if I perish, I perish." This poignant scene transcends the limits of time to become a vivid reflection of the spiritual awakening the church must experience in the hours leading up to the denouement of human history. Esther's response was not a display of fatalistic resignation, but an act of sublime faith and total selflessness. She understood that individual comfort must be sacrificed when the honor of the Creator and the survival of her fellow human beings are at stake. The call to fasting and collective humiliation demonstrates that the great crises of existence are not resolved through human diplomacy or earthly strategies, but on our knees, seeking the restorative power of the Most High through the shattering of pride. For the brotherhood that comprises the Advent people in this end time, this chapter represents an urgent call to awaken from spiritual lethargy. Often, material blessings, family stability, or daily accomplishments act as a veil, obscuring the urgency of the warning message we must proclaim. God has placed us in our respective spheres of influence not for self-indulgence, but for a precise providential purpose. We are in the hour of heavenly judgment, and to remain completely silent at this time would make us accomplices of the enemy. Every believer must understand that they have been called to the ranks of present truth for such an hour as this. Our assurance of salvation is strengthened when we abandon all trust in the flesh and surrender ourselves completely to the divine will. Living faith dispels the fear of material loss or the world's scorn. By fixing our eyes on Jesus, who left the heavenly courts and gave himself up for the love of suffering humanity, we find the ultimate motivation to dedicate all our talents to the service of our neighbor. Time is short, and the shadows of the final crisis lengthen; it is time to humble our souls in the presence of the Lord, claim the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and march courageously toward the fulfillment of our sacred mission. Prayer Tender and all-knowing Father, I acknowledge that many times I have taken refuge in my daily comfort, ignoring the urgency of the times in which I live. I ask forgiveness for my apathy and for doubting your protective power in the face of life's difficulties. I pray that you grant me the spirit of selflessness and courage of Esther, so that I may be willing to bear witness to your truth regardless of the sacrifices I must make. Purify my motives, rekindle my faith, and prepare me to be an instrument of liberation and hope for others. I keep my eyes fixed on the intercession of my Redeemer, Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name. Amen. ========================= Morning Devotional for Adults 2026 Morning Devotional for Youth 2026 Morning Devotional for Women 2026 Morning Devotional for Teens 2026 Morning Devotional for Children 2026 Morning Devotional for Toddlers 2026 Revived by His Word 2026 ============= Morning Meditations 2026 Morning Devotional 2026 Christian Morning Devotionals 2026 Today's Devotional 2026 Christian Devotionals My Devotional 2026 Christian Messages Devotional Readings 2026 Ellen G.
