In 2015, the temple gained heightened prominence with the installation of a towering 51-foot statue of Lord Shiva, known as Bangeshwar Mahadev. This impressive statue, inaugurated by the then President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, is recognized as the tallest Shiva statue in Eastern India.
