Toyota is entering a new era of pickup trucks with the all-new Hilux BEV, the first fully electric Hilux in the model’s legendary history. Built on the same rugged DNA that made the Hilux one of the world’s most trusted pickups, the new battery-electric version combines zero-emission driving with the toughness, durability, and off-road capability that have defined the Hilux for decades. Unlike many electric trucks designed primarily for urban use, the Hilux BEV retains its traditional ladder-frame construction, ensuring exceptional strength and durability for both work and adventure. Toyota has carefully integrated a 59.2 kWh lithium-ion battery into the chassis without compromising cargo space, cabin practicality, or off-road performance. Power comes from a dual-motor electric all-wheel-drive system that delivers instant torque and confident traction on virtually any terrain. The Hilux BEV offers a payload capacity of up to 715 kg and can tow up to 1,600 kg, making it one of the most capable electric pickups in its class. Toyota estimates an electric driving range of up to 257 km (160 miles), while city driving range can reach up to 380 km (236 miles). Fast-charging capability allows the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes when connected to a compatible DC fast charger. The Hilux BEV remains a true off-road machine, featuring impressive ground clearance, advanced all-wheel-drive technology, and a wading depth of up to 700 mm. An upgraded Multi-Terrain Select system helps optimize performance across sand, mud, rocks, and other challenging surfaces. Inside, the next-generation Hilux introduces a completely redesigned cabin with a digital cockpit, larger infotainment displays, enhanced connectivity, and Toyota’s latest safety technologies. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 provides advanced driver assistance features, while over-the-air software updates ensure the vehicle continues to improve over time.
