He was a also chairman of Tata Group, during 1991 to 2012. He go two of the highest civilian awards of India. 1. In 2000 he received Padma Bhushan and 2. In 2008 he received Padma Vibhushan. Ratan tata was born in bombay,now mumbai, on 28 December 1937. He is the son of Naval Tata and Sonu Tata. In 1948 when Ratan Tata was 10, his parents separated so his grandmother Nawajbai Tata take responsibility of Ratan Tata. He has completed his initial education from Cathedral and John Canon School, Mumbai, and Bishop Cotton School,Shimala. He got Architect degree from Cornell University America and Management Degree from Harvard Business School. In 1961, Ratan Tata began his career in Tata Group, working on the shop floor of Tata Steel.
