Hello, this is Ijen :) Today, I discussed the changes that have occurred in me since starting my PhD program in the U.S. When I first arrived in the U.S., the fun was discovering the differences in language and environment, but as time passed, I found it even more fascinating to see how I had changed. At some point, aspects of myself that were slightly different from when I was in Korea had naturally settled in. Whether it was becoming more comfortable being alone, changing the way I interact with people, or shifting my standards of thinking little by little... It wasn't a huge change, but looking back, there were moments when I thought, "Huh? Was I always like this?"
