Moab Red Rok Rally 2026 Day 1

Day 1 of the Red Rock Rally in Moab kicks off with one of the most scenic and varied routes you can ride, and I’m taking the opportunity to go deep on my real thoughts about the Kawasaki KRX 4 — what I love, what surprised me, and how it handles true Moab terrain. We start the morning rolling out across Bartlett Wash, carving through the open slickrock and letting the KRX stretch its legs. From there, the trail funnels into M&M, where the terrain tightens up and the machine really has to work. I talk through how the suspension, wheelbase, and power delivery feel in real time as we head toward the towering formations around Determination Towers. Next up is Wipeout Hill, one of Moab’s classic obstacles. Whether you’ve ridden it before or just watched the carnage online, you know it’s a legit test piece. I break down how the KRX 4 handles the climb, the descent, and the off‑camber sections that make this spot famous. We wrap up the day at Tusher Tunnel, one of the coolest hidden features in the area — and while we’re there, I show off a wild custom build: a classic VW Bug body mounted on a RZR chassis. It’s one of the most unique rigs I’ve seen on the trail.
