You’ll also learn how to tie the Palomar knot — one of the strongest and easiest fishing knots for beginners — and I’ll give you a quick tip for connecting braided line to a fluorocarbon leader using the Albright knot. Whether you're fishing with mono, fluoro, co-polymer, or braid, these tips will set you up for success. We’ll also cover how to find fishable water near you that actually holds fish, including ponds, lakes, docks, rivers, and stocked waters. I’ll explain the difference between structure and cover, and how to target high-percentage fishing spots like weed beds, shade lines, laydowns, and current breaks.
