Slip Decoration,trimming & Chattering on the Large Pottery Moon Jar Pot

Following on from throwing my biggest pottery moon Jar to date,I thought I'd just show how I did a bit of decoration on the pot. I did some chattering on the pot over some Cobalt Slip and a simple finger design. Trimming, or turning as we say in the UK was just using my homemade trimming turning tools of different sizes and then just adding the slip and chattering. The coloured ceramic clay slip is added to the pot then allowed to dry and with a chattering tool a really nice design is achieved easily.
