She studied at the Conservatoire de Paris and was a prize winner in the Grand Prix de Rome. She was an assistant in the saxophone class of Marcel Mule and wrote extensively for the saxophone. Chanson et Passepied for Alto Saxophone is in two parts: The first part, Chanson (Song), is a lyrical and simple melody which interacts with the piano in a call-and-response. The second part, Passepied, is in reference to a French Baroque dance form. It is a brighter tempo and follows an A-B-A structure. The A section is melodic and syncopated while the B section is in a flowing waltz style. This piano accompaniment was created for practicing, score studying, and other educational settings.
