Cosa fa l’arrangiatore orchestrale | Serie IMJO — Le Domenicali
▸ ▸ 12 FREE MINI MASTERCLASSES — the starting point for entering the world of a professional composer and producer. https://imaginaryjourneys.it/12minima... This Sunday, we'll talk about orchestral arrangement: what an orchestral arranger really does when a piece of music is already written and needs to be brought into the world of the orchestra. A song, a piece for electric guitar, a theme for solo violin, or a melody born on the piano can be accompanied, supported, and expanded by the orchestra. But orchestral arrangement isn't simply about "placing the orchestra on top" of a piece. The point is another: understanding whether the music already has a solid framework, whether it can stand on its own, and then rethinking it orchestrally from the very first note of the arrangement. The orchestra shouldn't drown out the soloist or replace him. It must walk hand in hand with the orchestra, becoming a complete musical voice: capable of sustaining, responding, expanding, whispering, or emerging when needed. It is therefore clear that the orchestral arranger is, in every respect, a composer-producer: he or she must master harmony, counterpoint, composition, orchestration, instrumentation, and production with real and virtual instruments. The 12 free IMJO Mini Masterclasses are a concrete first step toward embracing this way of thinking about music: not as a simple sum of sounds, but as writing, structure, function, and production. ▸ Access the 12 FREE MINI MASTERCLASSES: https://imaginaryjourneys.it/12minima...
