Make sure to stir the pasta to prevent sticking and occasionally stir during the cooking process. Every pasta brand is different but expect to cook it at least 5 minutes past the recommended cooking time. You want this pasta soft… almost to point of being bloated where it just barely holds its shape. • While the pasta is cooking, whisk together all the other ingredients in a large enough bowl to accommodate the cooked pasta later. • If using canned tuna, make sure to finely break up the tuna and thoroughly fold it into the mixture. Place the mayo mixture in the fridge to allow the flavors to develop. • Once the pasta is nice and soft, drain, rinse under cold water until completely cool. I let it sit in cold water for a couple minutes to speed up the cooling process and to remove excess starch. Drain and allow to dry. • Once the pasta is sufficiently dry, gently fold it into the bowl with the mayonnaise mixture. • Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours (best if overnight). • Let it sit at room temperature for ½ before serving. Now is the time to also adjust the seasoning and add more mayo if it appears to have dried out in the fridge.
