Episode 16 Recap – A New Dawn The party awakens after the chaos, and to everyone's relief, Lyra wakes as well. Searching for answers, she returns to Erdin's house, hoping to uncover clues, but finds nothing. Drawn by curiosity, she instead heads toward the lake, the boat, and the mysterious island. Meanwhile, Kierian searches the village for the strange image he remembered after seeing the small clock tower—a dog, a wheelbarrow, and a tree. He never finds the scene, but instead discovers a towering dead tree standing alone within a fenced circle of grass. A torn patch of white fur hangs from a branch. After hearing something move in the forest behind him, he turns to investigate. When he looks back, the fur is gone, replaced by three massive claw marks leaking a strange white-gold sap. He collects a few drops before returning. Meeting by the lake, Lyra and Kierian both stare toward the island when painful memories overwhelm them. Their emotions boil over into an argument, but they quickly realize neither wants to carry that burden any longer. They embrace, finding comfort in one another, quietly share a secret, smile, and return to the group together. The party regroups, arguing over the previous battle before agreeing to leave the cursed village behind. After gathering what supplies they can, they follow the only trail out and make camp beside the forest, preparing for whatever awaits them next.
