Packing for Hospital Stay | Medically Complex Child & Video Telemetry #seizuredisorder

#HospitalStay #SeizureAwareness #SpecialNeedsParenting We’re heading back into hospital — this time for video telemetry, the next step in trying to get Elin’s seizures diagnosed. Packing for a hospital stay with a medically complex child isn’t just about clothes and toiletries. It’s medicines, syringes, pads, wipes, tubie pads, pyjamas that open at the front… and the constant thought: have I forgotten something vital? In this vlog I take you through our hospital prep — what goes in the bag, what we can’t risk leaving behind, and how I get us ready for yet another night at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. If you’ve ever packed for hospital with a SEND child, you’ll know the stress of balancing practical needs with emotional energy. This isn’t our first stay, and it won’t be our last — but each time it’s different, and each time I try to make it just a little bit easier for both of us. ✨ If you’re a parent or carer on this journey too, I’d love to hear from you in the comments. What’s the one thing you never forget to pack? 👍 Don’t forget to hit like and subscribe if this vlog resonates with you — it helps our small channel reach more parents who need to feel less alone. ❤️ Thank you for being here and for supporting us. Every view, comment, and share makes a real difference. I'm a special needs mum vlogger in the UK with two daughters, one of whom is severely disabled. Elin is a girl with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, she has a feeding tube, is a wheelchair user and as she can't use the toilet independently she is in a nappy / diaper. Apart from cerebral palsy, Elin has complex medical needs and seizure disorder. She has tonic clonic, or grand mal seizures, partial focal seizures and absence seizures. She is on multiple medications every day, for her spastic muscles, for her reflux disorder and for her epilepsy. Elin is on a blended diet, which we give her through her feeding tube, and I share tips, how to and recipes. On this channel I share our day to day life, our morning, feeding, medication and bedtime routines, feeding techniques, how Elin communicates, etc. I also showcase the relationship between Elin and her sister Alice, and how they play and interact with each other. And I share what life is like for a single, midlife mom who always juggles too much. Organisation tips, perimenopause, and coparenting.
