Ringcraft with dogs - moving in the ring
Continuing our series on Ringcraft skills, Roxanne McDonald looks at "movement" in the ring at dog shows. She explains what judges are looking for, the kinds of movement required, and the typical mistakes people make. Roxanne discusses triangles, circles and straight movements, and how different judges might ask for different movements on different days. We also find out a little about moving individually compared to moving in a group. Roxane gives some helpful pointers in getting started with a young pup and in making the experience a positive one for dog as well as handler.
