Despite the weather, the view captured our hearts, and we decided to pay the deposit to reserve it. The land itself costs 800 million kip, and we may even need to take out additional loans to complete the purchase. Still, something in us wants to take this step forward. Today, we return on a sunny day to see the land again. A long gentle slope, a flat area along the road, and dense vegetation in the back. We still can’t see the entire landscape, but as we walk, we feel more certain: “This is where our family’s future can begin.” Leveling the ground, bringing electricity and water, building rest areas and storage… There is so much work ahead.
