The Steel Dome and new generation domestic systems were tested in the field for the first time at EFES-2026. EFES-2026, Turkey's largest joint military exercise, attracted attention with its comprehensive scenarios and new generation defense systems deployed in Seferihisar, İzmir. The exercise, discussed in the second episode of the 2T Technology & Defense program, was one of the largest military organizations in recent years, both in terms of the number of participating countries and the technologies showcased. The EFES-2026 Exercise stands out as a Combined Joint Live-Fire Field Exercise conducted under the coordination of the Aegean Army Command. The main objective of the exercise is to increase the joint operational capability of land, air, and sea elements, improve the combat readiness level of the units, and conduct real-time capability tests against modern warfare scenarios.
