DALLAS PANORAMAS & FORT WORTH DOWNTOWN - TEXAS – 1966 Friends and family- This 1966 home movie was filmed during a family visit to Texas. The opening segments of downtown Fort Worth include storefront signs for Leonard’s Department Store (“More merchandise for less money”), The Westbrook Hotel (demolished in 1978), Royal Credit Clothiers Inc., McCrory’s, Woolworth’s, and Fakes & Co. Furniture Store, and others. The panoramic scenes of Dallas include the Dallas Convention Center (the round building). My father was in Dallas to attend the National Council Meeting of the Boy Scouts of America. This home movie was filmed by our father, Lawrence W. Haas, and the music is by my daughter, Anna Haas.
