From Open PDKs to Silicon: Progress at IHP (Frank Vater)
This talk presents the current status of the IHP openPDKs and the open-silicon MPW program, highlighting the significant progress made over the past four years toward enabling productive chip design with open-source tools. A particular focus is placed on new analoge design capabilities and enhanced RF design features. In addition, we introduce the open MPW and open-silicon concepts, which provide silicon access for validation and evaluation of submitted open-source designs. Finally, we outline upcoming projects in tool and PDK development, emphasizing future directions for both design tools and technology enablement.
