A Scenic Drive in Southwestern Colorado

We take a scenic loop drive in Southwestern Colorado. We begin by heading west from Pagosa Springs on US Highway 160. This road takes a winding route through wooded mountains and canyons. When we reach the town of Bayfield, we head south through some farmland on La Plata County Road 516. This takes us to Colorado SR 172 South and the town of Ignacio. At Ignacio, we head east on Colorado SR 151. This highway winds its way though hills and farmland before heading back into the mountains. We make a quick stop at Chimney Rock National Monument to view the interesting rock formations. We then make our way back to US Highway 160 and return to Pagosa Springs.
