George Washington’s dream for America… but make it SNL 😅🇺🇸 In this video, I react for the first time to “Washington’s Dream” from Saturday Night Live, where George Washington, played by Nate Bargatze, tells his soldiers his dream for the future of the country. As a Spanish girl and European, this was such a funny way to discover more American humor, American history jokes, and the way SNL turns cultural differences into comedy 😂✨ In the sketch, George Washington speaks to his soldiers, played by Kenan Thompson, Mikey Day, Bowen Yang, and James Austin Johnson, about his vision for America… and the result is completely unexpected. I love reacting to comedy sketches like this because they help me understand not only American humor, but also the little everyday things that Americans joke about — measurements, culture, traditions, language, and all those details that can seem so normal in the USA but very confusing or funny for Europeans 😅🇺🇸 Nate Bargatze’s delivery as George Washington made the sketch even funnier because everything felt so serious and historical, while the actual jokes were so ridiculous and clever.
