I was both exctied AND scared of covering this song, mainly due to the fast parts. Funnily enough, while working on the cover it turned out the fast parts were the easiest for me, while the slower ones were a greater challenge. I am convinced this is Boku-Boku's doing, lmao. The art and music video for this took me like 5 days or so. Even though I encountered many inconveniences on the way, it was very fun working on everything. I am quite impressed at myself for how well I managed to imitate the original artstyle. A funfact about the art is that everything except the twindrills was animated by hand. The twindrills on the other hand were seperated into 5 parts and I moved them around in After Effects. If it comes to the hand-animated stuff, honestly, thanks to noting how the movement worked in the original, I think I learned more about animation overall. I tried my best to imitate the song's original music video (with some slight creative choices), it was such a pain to make though. The heat distortion effect was especially so hard to do. If not for Youtube tutorials, I don't think I'd be able to make it. Overall, I am extremely proud of how everything turned out. I am so happy to have covered this song, seriously. I genuinely think Heat Abnormal is one of the best Vocal Synth songs of all time. The theming, the lyrics, the visuals, everything about it is just so genius. No one could ever make me hate this song.
