Catarroja, cuna del all i pebre, organiza desde hace décadas un concurso de este singular guiso de anguilas cuya paternidad se atribuye a los pescadores del lago de la Albufera. Es precisamente la cofradía de pescadores del puerto de Catarroja quien se encarga de supervisar y juzgar quien cocina el mejor all i pebre.
