Fertilizing coffee after harvest isn't always as simple as sprinkling fertilizer and it's done! In this video, I share a firsthand experience from a coffee plantation. After spreading dolomite and several rains, after 20 days, the dolomite was still clearly visible on the soil surface. What's curious is that the dolomite covered with rotten coffee bran was still visible, while the dolomite in other locations that weren't covered was no longer visible. Did the dolomite fail to react? Or has it already infiltrated and mixed with the soil? The next problem is that it's time to apply the initial fertilization after harvest, but the rain hasn't come yet. Can fertilizer still be applied when the soil is dry? So, can rotten coffee bran be used to cover the fertilizer? What if you don't have rotten coffee bran? Can the fertilizer be put into the hole and covered back with soil? I discuss all of these experiences and questions in this video using simple language to make it easy for coffee farmers to understand.
