Monologue on sexual violence.

I still cannot bring myself to understand how some people can be so insensitive towards their fellow human beings. Like how can you abuse someone else without thinking how they’d feel afterwards ? Why not wait to get a mutual consent first? Because you’ve not been brought to book yet, doesn’t make you SANE! So, there’s been lots of ongoing rape cases, those termed to be true and those that are still under scrutinization. I can say i know a few persons who are still shaken and scared to speak up because of the trauma and “what people would say...” It’s really appalling how most persons react to these stories, with irrelevant comments that are uncalled for. If you don’t know the exact truth, can’t help or fight for a cause and you’ve got nothing relevant to contribute, then please just stay mute! Or better still, don’t contribute at all. Instead of vomiting or typing rubbish because you can afford to and do not understand what the victims actually go through. It’s perturbing...
