Modifications to my Honda Rebel
Theoretically, this increases the top speed from 83 to 91.6. Realistically, however, this little engine doesn't make enough torque to cut through the wind resistance above 80mph. So the top speed is the same as before, but with less engine noise and vibration. (Unless I'm going downhill!) update (9/17/'10): I put the old 33-tooth sprocket back on the rear wheel. The reason is that whenever I carried a passenger, the 15/32 gearing was too high to move that much weight and it was a struggle to hit 75 mph. I'll stay with the 15/33 gearing. Thanks to Pablo Schmitt for filming this.
