After a lot of prayer, self-examination, and reflection, I've decided to step away from this channel for a season. This isn't because I've lost my love for jiu-jitsu. It's because I've found something I love even more: following Jesus Christ with a clear conscience. My health has played a role in this decision, but the deeper reason is spiritual. I no longer feel called to dedicate my life to teaching people how to fight, compete, or harm one another. What I do believe in is helping the weak protect themselves, escape danger, and preserve life. Everything I've learned over decades of study has already been documented, and my final seminar will focus on that purpose alone. This channel also became something I had to honestly examine in my own heart. I realized I was seeking approval from people more than I was seeking the approval of God. Scripture warns us about living for the praise of others, and I don't want to build a following if it pulls my focus away from Christ. To everyone who has supported me, trained with me, encouraged me, or simply watched a video—thank you. You have meant more to me than you know. I'm not disappearing. I'm simply following where I believe God is leading me next. I'd rather have a sorrowful heart that is right with God than gain the whole world and lose my soul.
