Panzer Campaigns: Kharkov ’42 AAR North – End of Day 2: German Armor Halts my Progress

The Soviet offensive enters its third day in this multiplayer campaign of Panzer Campaigns: Kharkov '42. After early gains in the northern sector, the Germans have reacted quickly, rushing two armored divisions forward to seal the gaps in their line. What was once a fluid advance has now become a brutal battle of attrition, with Soviet forces paying heavily for every kilometer gained. In this episode, I assess the situation at the end of Day 2, examine the growing casualty lists, and determine whether the offensive still has enough momentum to achieve its objectives. With German armor now concentrated in the north, difficult decisions must be made about where to commit reserves and how to break through before the enemy can fully stabilize the front.
