Vintage SONY TC-850 Professional Reel to Reel Made in 1970. This deck has a head switch to change from the 4 track head to a 2 track head for playback, also this deck operates at 3 different speeds 3 2/4, 7 1/2 and 15 Inches per Second! Handles Tape reel sizes Up to 10 1/2 Inches. Comes with the original NAB hub adapters. To clarify, this deck can play 2 track tapes AND 4 track tapes. The deck records in 4 track mode only. This is a 3 motor deck with brand new belts and has been recapped, Heads Re-lapped and aligned using a MRL Calibration tape. Fully functioning and Ready to use. Needs Nothing but a Reel enthusiast. Even has a tape splicing block on the head cover. This is a Multi-Voltage Deck and International shipping is OK as long as you country is in the Global Shipping Program. Rewind, Fast Forward, Play, Record, Pause, Repeat, Counter, All working Nicely. Both pinch rollers are Excellent. This deck uses the Twist Reel Locks so No rubber reel holders to keep track of. Meter Needles are that Cool shade of Green. Proud Looking Deck and will Enhance Any Living room for the Audio Enthusiast. All knobs, tape guides, Feet etc are complete and original. Missing Nothing and nothing broken! All Lamps Work including Both meter lamps, the Rew, FFD, Play, Record Buttons, etc all work as they should, Like New. --Wooden cabinet is in good shape. I did sand and stain the entire cabinet filling a couple gouges then put a clear coat over it. Please see pictures. This deck is in Excellent Shape for its age, Very good looking machine that is around 47 years old.
