Ring Modulator Comparison - The RING SM & ENTROPIC DOOM's ring mods compared, with VCO's & DALEKS!

This is an unscientific comparison between the ring modulators contained on these two multi-function Eurorack modules, for those who were wondering how they differ. There's some basic A/B examples processing the same audio, and a couple of example sounds for which they might be used... including Dalek voices, of course (just for fun). For further reading, check out the videos in the links below focussing on each of the two modules. The Ring SM features a mixer (based on the Moog CP-3), a sub-octave generator (-1 & -2 simultaneously), and a very rich-sounding analogue ring mod (based on that from the EMS Synthi/VCS3). The Entropic Doom is a noise-oscillator, producing pitched CMOS noise, that can be tuned, with a built-in, analogue resonant multi-response filter, and it can track 1V/Oct, so it can be used melodically. It also features a lo-fi digital ring mod, and XoR VCA, which can function independently from, and simultaneously with the rest of the module.
