This quickly became one of our favourite songs we’ve ever sung together. RAYE’s WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! is equal parts hilarious, theatrical, desperate, hopeful, and wildly relatable. Beneath the swagger and tongue-in-cheek humour is a song about longing for connection, holding onto your standards, and wondering why the right person is taking so damn long to show up. In the original recording, RAYE’s grandmother reassures her with the line “your husband is coming.” In our version, that honour goes to our drummer, who delivers the prophecy himself. This live performance features 200 singers from all four of the Chorus Studio choirs: YVR Pop Choir, B-Roll, Pacific Soul, and Spotlight.
