Baby Development: • The baby still appears wrinkled and moves around a lot. • Hair becomes more evident. This means the hair becomes denser, and the body develops eyebrows and eyelashes. • Facial features are already formed and the baby is able to "practice" swallowing by ingesting amniotic fluid. • The baby's hands are stronger, developing a sense of touch. • The bone marrow is already capable of forming blood cells, and the brain is developing rapidly. • The baby's ears are already functioning very well, allowing the baby to recognize sounds and develop a sense of balance. • The baby begins this period weighing approximately 18 centimeters and 310 grams, ending the month weighing approximately 23 centimeters and 540 grams. Symptoms and Changes in the Mother's Body At this stage, the main symptoms of pregnancy are: • Heartburn; • Swelling of the hands, feet, or face; • Feeling unsteady on the feet; • Itchy skin on the belly, breasts, buttocks, and thighs; • Back pain; • Constipation; • Indigestion; • Increased appetite; • Snoring; • Dizziness; • Insomnia; • Varicose veins; • Leg cramps; As for the body's changes, we have: • For the mother, her spine curves forward; • The joints in the pelvic region become more flexible; • Morning sickness tends to disappear; • The belly button becomes more prominent, and the belly tends to move a lot, as the baby has plenty of room and is very active – which can cause soreness in the mother's ribs; • The pregnant woman may also experience back pain due to the enlargement of her breasts and the size of her uterus; • Due to hormonal influences, she may experience mood swings. In many cases, pregnant women at this stage have a greater sexual appetite. • Still on the subject of hormones, also due to them, there is a tendency for hair growth, in general, during this period – including in less desirable areas, such as the cheeks and back; • The pregnant woman may also feel bloated and have dark spots on her face (melasma), which tend to disappear after delivery. In any case, daily use of sunscreen is an excellent measure. • During this stage, the pregnant woman may experience some contractions, which manifest in the uterus and abdomen. These contractions, called Braxton Hicks contractions, are preparing the mother's uterus for the contractions themselves, which will occur later in the pregnancy. Pregnant woman's diet: • Because the baby's brain is developing significantly at this stage, it's very important to eat foods containing omega-3: deep-sea fish such as salmon, tuna, cod, albacore, and dogfish; and certain vegetables such as broccoli, arugula, kale, and spinach. • Calcium is also important, as it provides the baby with a number of benefits: stronger bones, good teeth, strong muscles, etc.; and prevents maternal osteoporosis. • Iron should also not be neglected, as pregnant women are at potential risk of developing anemia. • And, of course, hydration is essential to improve blood circulation and reduce swelling. 🛍 Visit the MdM store on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com.br/macetesdemae Maternity #Pregnancy #Newborn To receive notifications of new videos, turn on the notification alert (by clicking the bell).
