Due to a landslide on National Route 158 in the Nyukawa section of Takayama City, only regular cars, some medium-sized vehicles, local route buses, and express buses (Nohi Bus, Keio Bus) are currently passable. Some medium-sized and large vehicles will be detouring via the following section: Hirayu - Kamitakara - Hida Kamioka - Furukawa - Takayama ----- This roughly doubles the travel time. There are three roadside rest areas along the way: Kamitakara, Takayama City Kamioka, Hida City Furukawa, Hida City There are plenty of rest areas with toilet facilities, so you won't have any trouble finding a place to rest. Large vehicles should be careful as some sections of the road are narrow.
