1966 was a complicated year in the Beatles' career, John Lennon's comments about Jesus Christ considerably affected the band's image, incidental situations on their tours were increasingly frequent, from mistreatment in the Philippines to protests in Japan so they wouldn't play, press conferences seemed increasingly heavy and tense, the band's relationship was wearing thin and gave the impression of being increasingly distant, John George and Ringo were already married men, and McCartney was moving away from family life to enter Swinging London, as the months went by the afternoons of composition between Lennon and McCartney were less frequent, everyone began to work on their own and have alternate projects, and while this was happening their tour was not looking good at all, before a country that did not receive them in the best way the Beatles faced their last American tour in 1966, hand in hand with their interest in studio work, experimentation and artistic evolution as their escape valve, and Already having the foundations of an album as an artistic piece in Rubber Soul, Revolver represented a radical game changer.
