Start Date and Time : April 11 0001utc Ending Date and Time : April 12 2359utc Participants have 48 hours to play QRP SSB radio as much or little as you want and enter your results. What are the Rules? This event is about having fun with QRP SSB and logging as many “low power” QSOs as you can. Here are some rules to follow: • All contacts must be “in bound” to your station as a response to your CQ QRP Party call. • NO Hunting or Spotting should be used. These are pure “cold calling CQ” QSO’s. (note: if someone happens to spot you on a cluster without your knowledge, there is nothing we can do about that, However, if you are made aware of any spot, you should QRT and find a new frequency or band) • Power is limited to 10w or less using SSB/Phone • Log your power during the initial (first contact) QSO. “Dial downs / power reduction” to a lower power once the contact has been established should not be logged. • Normal exchange information (Callsign, state/province/country) • Worked Stations: Once per band per UTC day • Scoring: 1 point per QSO (no multipliers). What Bands and Locations Can I Operate? You may operate on any of the HF bands 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters on the SSB frequencies your license allows. This event is limited to only SSB/Phone contacts. (Stay away from the “non” event bands 60, 30, 17 & 12 as well as any scheduled Net’s or Systems) You may make your CQ calls from any location (ex, Home, Mobile, Portable, etc) using any antenna you want. You may operate from a park, but you cannot spot yourself on the POTA page. (the following rules apply) • You cannot call CQ POTA and log that contact as a QRP QSO Party contact. • Only a “cold” (no spotting) CQ calls related to the QRP QSO Party can be logged as a QRP QSO Party contact How Will the Final Entries be Ranked We will rank the entries in the following categories: • Top 5 longest distance (miles) (not power specific) • Top 5 greatest “miles per watt” (not band specific) • Top 5 total number of QSO’s (not power specific) What Information Do I Submit and Where do I Send it? • At the end of the event, you will identify and submit your 3 best entries A. Longest Distance QSO B. Best “miles per watt” QSO (Contact distance in miles, divided by your power) C. Total number of QSO’s in the event • It’s up to you to decide which contact is your best and will yield a high ranking in each of the categories. • Please use the following format to submit your information.
