Recording an indie folk track (Jackson C. Frank cover) | A Day in my studio

In addition to all the other stuff I do , I record a cover song every month for my radio show 'Sounds Like Dirk' (Radio Bremen Zwei / MDR Kultur). This month I've chosen one of my all-time favourites by Jackson C. Frank. "Blues Run the Game" was the opening track of his debut album, released in 1965 and produced by Paul Simon. There have been some amazing covers of this song over the years, Laura Marling and Bart Davenport come to mind. Absolutely beautiful! I thought it would be cool to take you along for the day, from writing out guitar chords to the finished, mixed track. So have fun with it. Cheers.
