Harper Steele and Dylan Mulvaney STORYLINE: Will Ferrell and Harper Steele premiered their latest Netflix documentary, "Will & Harper," in Los Angeles on Thursday. When former “Saturday Night Live” writer Steele came out as trans, she sent an email to friends and family. An old friend and “SNL” colleague, Ferrell responded with the suggestion that they travel the country together. The result is the subject of their tender and contemplative documentary, by “Barb and Star Go to Del Mar” director Josh Greenbaum, about their 16-day road trip. Ferrell recounted one particular interaction that stuck with him from the trip, when they met a retired therapist at the Grand Canyon. "She was able to make amends through Harper about a patient she had and she didn't feel equipped at the time to counsel them. And Harper is the one giving her advice. So we had a lot of moments like that," he said. "Will & Harper" is now playing in theaters and hits Netflix on September 27. =========================================================== Clients are reminded: (i) to check the terms of their licence agreements for use of content outside news programming and that further advice and assistance can be obtained from the AP Archive on: Tel +44 (0) 20 7482 7482 Email: [email protected] (ii) they should check with the applicable collecting society in their Territory regarding the clearance of any sound recording or performance included within the AP Television News service Find out more about AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/HowWeWork Twitter:   / ap_archive   Facebook:   / aparchives    Instagram:   / apnews   You can license this story through AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/metadata/you...
