Full Hotel Tour & Review of The Four Points by Sheraton Philadelphia Airport in Philadelphia, PA
Filmed on July 13th, 2024. Here we are folks! This the LAST of the 5 hotel tours I got during my NE trip last Summer, and this one is of the hotel I stayed at in the Philadelphia area for a couple nights before flying back home! This hotel is located near the Philadelphia Airport and SEPTA Regional Rail in a complex of three former Starwood turned Marriott properties (the other 2 of which are an Aloft and a Sheraton Suites), and with this one being $140 a night after taxes, I decided to book this particular hotel. This hotel is in a decent location and is for the most part pretty clean with a bed that was VERY comfy, and I found the staff here to be pretty friendly and helpful (my keycard randomly stopped working in the middle of my stay and they fixed it for me and escorted me to my room). This all being said though, this hotel is definitely starting to show it's age both in the hallways and most importantly the rooms. This hotel was built in 1985, and while some renovations were done to the rooms, the rooms and the hotel still very much feel it. Some of the furniture is the room is worn out, wallpaper is peeling apart, the hallways smelled a bit weird and didn't look particularly inviting and the door to my room was scratched up and very difficult to open. The mattress for the bed on my room while very comfy also has to be at least 8 years old too since Starwood went away as a chain following Marriott's purchase in 2016. With this being said, my room was still mostly clean and it got the job done for the length of my stay, and considering the starting price for rooms here was $140 a night in a good location by the Airport in a city that isn't typically a cheap one when it comes to hotels combined with the fact this hotel has both a bar and a pool onsite, you can certainly do way worse than this place. This hotel is DEFINITELY in need of a full renovation, and there's definitely better places to stay at in Philly without question. But for the money this place isn't bad, and it's not a bad hotel if you're staying for a short period of time and need a place to rest your head before flying out of the Airport. But considering this place is now a Marriott property, I'd expect there to be a little bit more love being put into this place than what has been as of when this review/tour was recorded.
