Glocal 2026: Building a Child-Focused Evaluation Evidence Synthesis System

As part of GLOCAL Evaluation Week 2026, UNICEF’s Evaluation Office hosted a session on “Building a Child-Focused Evaluation Evidence Synthesis System”. The event highlighted UNICEF’s efforts to transform a growing body of evaluation evidence into actionable insights through innovative evidence synthesis approaches. Drawing on the UNICEF Evaluation Evidence and Gap Map and the first global synthesis of UNICEF evaluation reports, the session explored how AI-enabled and systematic evidence synthesis methods can help identify what works for children, where evidence gaps remain, and how evaluation can better support strategic decision-making.
