Midland GMRS Base Camp XT511 is ONLY 1.5 watts

Its ONLY 1.5w! Seriously underpowered for a GMRS radio. After many years of trying, I finally got a hold of one of these legendary Midland GMRS Base Camp radios. It blipped up in stock on https://www.buytwowayradios.com/midla... . Maybe the Mandela effect, but I thought Midland had this advertised as a 5w GRMS radio. Much to my chigrin it didn't perform as such. But this was only initial real world use in my local neighborhood. So I searched the FCC and found this radio (Model XT11A) actually was submitted by Midland as a 1.6w GMRS and it tested at a 1.5w output with a .2 low power.
