Middleton Common Farm Railway

Finally made it down to the, not far from me at all, Sussex Butterfly Gardens at Middleton Common Farm near Ditchling in East Sussex, and of course the Middleton Common Farm Railway. What is currently an approx 100m circular loop, next to the butterfly garden. After the ride, I needed a couple of stats and had a nice chat with the Owner, Tim, who gave me a little bit of it's history, that it used to be with a different site and owner (I wrote it down wrong I think 🤦🏼‍♂️) from about 1970 until the 90's, did a bit of travelling as a temp setup and then in 2024, Tim bought the whole thing on eBay! A top-notch eBay purchase! Whilst it's a short loop at the moment, there are plans to extend the track further around the farm site, as well as adding a viaduct and other landscaping, as well as constructing a wheelchair accessible carriage! Lovely site, lovely chap and I look forward to seeing this one grow! Also, the butterflies are amazing!
