Lesia Lemekh - Chopin Mazurkas Op.63 - LIVE

Chopin's Mazurka embodies the full degree of feelings of the composer from early to psychologically profound recent works. Mazurka music is an image of inner and surrounding life, aphoristic expressions similar to diary entries. Preserving one name of the genre, the composer used the features of three folk dances. Mazur is a cheerful and lively dance, the dotted rhythm conveying the feeling of unrestrained impulse, particularly the Mazurka Op. 63 No. 1 00:04. Obertas is a fast dance, which is characterized by variability of accents, like a mazurka No. 3 from Op. 63 5:32. Kuyavyak is a more melancholy, slow dance with a minor key with elements of folk arrangements such as the Mazurka No. 2 Op.63 2:32. The Lydian Quarta is most often found in harmony.
