Fiestas de la Boulevard regresan en su séptima edición

Music, food, and a festive atmosphere will once again take over Levittown Boulevard with the seventh annual Boulevard Festival, which will bring together 65 orchestras and artists on six stages distributed along a single avenue from July 10th to 12th, solidifying its position as the largest music and food event in Puerto Rico. For three days, thousands of people will be able to enjoy a unique experience that combines top-tier musical performances, a variety of local culinary offerings, cultural activities, entertainment for the whole family, and a comprehensive mobility and security plan that will once again make Levittown one of the top destinations each year for this event in Puerto Rico. “The Boulevard Festival, part of our Llanera Trilogy, represents the best of Toa Baja. It is a platform to boost our businesses, strengthen our economy, and showcase the talent and hospitality that distinguish our town. Each edition confirms that when we work as a team, we can offer a first-rate event that is already part of the calendar of major activities in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. We invite all families to join us and enjoy a safe, well-organized celebration full of entertainment for all tastes,” said Mayor Betito Márquez García. With six stages set up along the iconic avenue, a wide range of amenities, and the participation of businesses, organizations, and outstanding municipal and state personnel to ensure every detail of the festive gathering is perfect, this festival continues to solidify its position as one of the main summer events in Puerto Rico and as a showcase of Toa Baja's economic, tourism, and cultural development. Gastronomic Friday kicks off with performances by La Mulenze, Bonny Cepeda and his Orchestra, Luisito Carrión, Skapulario, Pedro Conga, Boricua Legends, Gustavo Laureano, a Tito Nieves Tribute, and Banda Salitre (a tribute to Los Enanitos Verdes and Alejandra Guzmán) on stages located at Harry’s Tacos, High Times, Koki Roll, and Otro Nivel. On Saturday, the traditional Pedro Albizu Campos School Alumni Reunion will take place, bringing together graduates from the class of 1971 onward. Performances on various stages will include Milly Quezada, Don Perignon, La Tribu de Abrante, Los Rabanes, Alex D’Castro, Puerto Rico es Salsa (Joey Hernández and Guillo Rivera), América Quesada with her Celia Cruz tribute, and others. Cultural Sunday will be dedicated to families, featuring inflatables and games for children, a lively street party on the avenue, and a performance by the Llanero Cultural Project. The fifth annual BBQ Contest will also be held at La Bodeguita de Luis. The day concludes with performances by Willie Rosario and his Orchestra, Michael Stuart, Pirulo y la Tribu, Tito Auger, Grupo La Makina, La Pochy Band, Back to the 80’s, and Sonósfera (a Soda Stereo tribute band). The president of the Organizing Committee, Gilberto Ramos, emphasized the pride the group feels in continuing to develop diverse, safe, and extensive festivities. “As business owners, our goal has always been to create not just a local event, but a national and international celebration. Our town of Toa Baja and our Boulevard Avenue have so much to offer and be grateful for. With this festival, we give back a little joy, special offers, and diverse family experiences to all who visit us throughout the year. We are ready to once again welcome more than 100,000 people who enjoy this great project that the committee organizes with great dedication,” he stated. At a press conference, it was announced that there will be satellite parking areas at the Llanero Sports Complex, the Caridad Pharmacy Annex, and the Ermita de la Candelaria, from where free trolleys will depart. The service will operate Friday from 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 3:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. It was emphasized that more than 200 members of the Municipal and State Police, along with Emergency Management personnel, firefighters, and social workers, will ensure security with electronic surveillance and preventive patrols. Similarly, the partial closure of sections of Dos Palmas Avenue and adjacent access roads was announced. The complete schedule of performances, times, and activities is available on the official social media accounts of the Municipality of Toa Baja and the Boulevard Festival, as well as on the website fiestasdelablvd.com.
