Making it All ‘Seam’ Real - Faking a Seam in a Patch Panel

This video shows how I was able to easily mimic the factory seam in a wheel well patch I was fabricating for the life-ruining rust repair project that is my 1954 Chevy Bel Air (the Bel Airror - a resto-mod with a rusto-bod). I had fabricated and installed a flat patch in this area when I started rust repair on this car 20 or more years ago, however I wanted this repair to more closely resemble the car's original structure. This is my first car, I've had it for more than 50 years, so I'm trying to get things right. The efforts shown in this video were performed while fabricating patches for the remainder of the wheel well - all part of the replacement quarter panel endeavor. The remaining wheel well components and related efforts are (or will be) covered in other videos. I apologize in advance for the shaky hand-held footage in some sections. As usual, please fast forward as needed to moderate your DMR exposure (Dull Man Rambling). If I can do it, you can too! Cheers!
