How to Assemble the Simple Glide 750W Fat Tire E-Trike + Full Feature Walkthrough Thinking about getting the Simple Glide 750W Fat Tire Recumbent E-Trike from Sixthreezero? In this video, Dustin, with 20 years of bike and e-bike experience, walks you through the full unboxing, assembly, and feature overview of this powerful and ultra-comfortable electric trike. Whether you're preparing to assemble yours or just want to learn more before you buy, this detailed guide covers every step and component. The Simple Glide Fat Tire arrives in a large, double-boxed package weighing around 100 pounds. Inside, you'll find the trike folded in half for compact shipping, zip-tied for security, and protected by foam and cardboard. Dustin starts by showing you how to carefully open the box—be mindful of the heavy-duty staples!—and begin the unpacking process. You’ll need scissors, snips, or a box cutter to remove the zip ties (cut away from the frame to avoid scratches). After removing the seat, backrest, front wheel, and basket, the first major step is unfolding the trike’s frame and locking it into place using the quick-release clamp. Then it's time to attach the handlebars—Dustin explains how to align the notch on the handlebar stem with the matching indentation inside the trike's receiver for a secure fit. The handlebars can be adjusted using the quick-release mechanism or fine-tuned with a 5mm Allen wrench if you're experiencing slippage. Next up is installing the front wheel. Dustin explains how to align the brake rotor with the calipers and how to use the special washer with a notch to secure the wheel. With the front wheel mounted, the trike becomes much easier to maneuver during the rest of the assembly. Mounting the seat is a key step, and Dustin walks you through sliding the seat rails into place, loosely installing bolts for flexibility, and adjusting the seat forward and backward. The seat's position is easy to tweak using the tilt-and-slide lever under the front edge. Adding the backrest is simpler once the seat is slid back and tilted down or the trike is leaned onto a mat for easier access underneath. The padded backrest attaches with four bolts—again, leave them loose until everything is aligned. The final step in the assembly is installing the rear cargo basket, which mounts using four bolts on the back frame bracket. Make sure it clears the rear light and is aligned evenly before tightening. Once the trike is fully assembled, Dustin takes time to highlight its features and functionality. The wide, plush seat includes flip-up armrests and a foldable footrest, which can be removed if your heel hits it while pedaling. The frame is foldable for storage or transport, and the stem can be raised or tilted for ergonomic comfort. To power up the trike, press and hold the button on the battery (located near the back of the frame) until it lights up blue or green. Then hold the power button on the handlebar display. The keys are only for removing the battery—not turning it on. You can charge the battery while it’s on or off the trike using the port under the display. Dustin demonstrates how to use the pedal assist levels (1–5), twist throttle, and seven-speed gear shifter for a smooth ride. The twist throttle only works when pedal assist is set to level 1 or higher. There's also a kill switch next to the throttle—if it's popped out, the throttle won’t engage, a great safety feature. Rear brake lights engage whenever the brakes are pulled, and the parking brake can be manually locked at both calipers. To turn on the front headlight, hold the plus button on the display until the light icon appears. The bike also includes built-in wiring and connectors under the display stem—if the screen isn’t working, checking those connections is a good first step. Brake pads may need replacement after extended use, and Dustin shows where to find them inside the calipers. At the end of the video, Dustin shares a reminder: the Simple Glide 750W comes pre-tuned for gears and brakes, but if adjustments are needed, consult a local bike shop. He also mentions that Sixthreezero offers a 30-day test ride policy—if you don’t love it, send it back, no questions asked—and a one-year warranty covering parts and labor. Local to Southern California? Stop by the showroom in San Clemente for a test ride. And don’t forget to join the 630 Pedalers Facebook group to connect with other riders before and after your purchase.
