The Woodlands is Houston Texas' TOP suburb! But, that doesn't mean it is for everyone. In fact, having grown up here, I can tell you first hand that The Woodlands isn't even what it used to be. Now for many people, it checks all of the boxes. It has an exclusive feel, great shopping, endless dining, unlimited parks and trails, and A+ schools. But the one thing it lacks is NEW homes. And even the old homes are quite expensive compared to surrounding areas. As The Woodlands has been completely built out, there is no new construction, which means The Woodlands is full and crowded. For those that choose to live in The Woodlands that don't need to leave to commute to work, this shouldn't be much of an issue. But for those needing to commute to Houston, get ready for a very long commute.
