15hp Fairbanks Morse N - First Startup in 80 Years
This is one of two identical 15hp Fairbanks Morse Special Electric N's that were abandoned on an isolated island in the North Pacific. We recovered both engines in 2020. This is the very first time this engine has been started since 1944. The restoration is ongoing, however while awaiting additional parts to accurately complete it, the owner decided to experiment running the engine on propane for fun.
