St. Augustine Parish is located in Manokwari, West Papua. This parish was actually the forerunner to the establishment of the Diocese of Manokwari-Sorong. St. Augustine Parish became a breakaway parish from Ternate. Since becoming a diocese, this parish has served as the cathedral and center of the Manokwari Diocese. After the diocese's center was moved to Sorong, and the diocese became the Diocese of Manokwari-Sorong, St. Augustine Parish became the co-cathedral of the Manokwari-Sorong Diocese.
