The mud finally met its match. 🪵🚜 This is our first spring here and the spring melt turned our homestead into a boot-sucking swamp. This time, we’re fighting back with an old-school engineering trick to testi it out before atyemtping to fix our road: The Corduroy Sidewalk. By using logs to create a ribbed, stable path over the muck, we’ve finally reclaimed our walkway. In this video, we’re also checking off two huge projects: 1. Finishing the Barn Roofs: Getting those last panels up just in time for the spring rains. 2. Wood Chipping: Clearing out the brush piles and using the chips to "armor" the ground around the run.
