Feature Presentation A Visit to the Tiede Observatory on the Canary Islands By Dale and Kriste Hollenbaugh The Tiede Observatory, located on Mt. Tiede on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands, is one of the world's greatest observatories. It includes the largest solar observatory in the world. Dale and Kriste will share a bit about their 2025 visit to the islands and the observatory. About the Speakers Dale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell Univ. He is a Sr. Mechanical Engineer at BAE Systems and has one U.S. Patent. Kriste holds a Bachelor of Science of Pharmacy degree from Ferris State Univ. She was a registered pharmacist with Rite Aid for 33+ years.
